Well...here it is, my very first blog! At least my first official one! This is going to be the space to keep everyone up to date on the stuff going down at Club Thompson (our house...for those that don't know we nickname everything!)
Today, Barry started his new adventures at DHY...hoping things go beautifully for him, & that he can feel Tom being proud of him for all he's accomplished! I know we're just as proud of him as we could possibly be. He seemed a little nervous but was dressed adorably in his "back-to-school" clothes! He is the only mechanic I know who needs $250 worth of new clothes to start work & new $80 Nikes...but he looked "HAMSUMP" ...Katie's attempt at handsome this morning! I'm hoping that he comes home loving his work. It always made me happy that he had a job he loved...then he started not loving it & had the anguish of having a job he could come home & complain about. I don't want that for him...I want him to wake up loving the fact that he gets to go do something he loves daily...he deserves it!
Brandon is loving the warm weather & Katelyn is loving her new LIGHT UP Disney Princess sneakers! Yes, I gave in to her...& she's just as happy as a 2 1/2 year old can be that when she walks little red lights follow her. Joanne Maugeri was right...if it's blinky shoes that make a child happy...BUY THEM! :) She's been skipping around the house singing about her Princesses & her lights since Sunday...so, THANKS, Ethel for the great advice!
For those who have never read something I've written...I over use adjectives at all times...fabulous & perfect & phenomenal are favorites of mine! Oh...& an exclamation point is just how I end almost all sentences...get used to it if you plan on checking back regularly, it's just me!

I love it! I can't believe you bought her sneakers with lights! Too funny!
Well Katie gets her love of shoes from her father. And as far as Barry and his sneakers I'm not surprised. It's a Thompson tradition which runs in the family from the time they can stand. My hope is that Barry will love his new job. I'm sure God has great plans for him...love to all! Mom
Love the new blog, keep them coming!
Anne, Katie can have shoes that pretty much do anything she wants. And since loving your job is something few of us are able to do, BT should continue to love his job, that way it becomes his passion, not just a means to an income. And about the adjetives you have always been over the top. Love ya honey, Mom
Clarification for my mother...Barry knows he should love his job, he always has...it was just stressful & upsetting to him at the end...we're looking forward to him being happy again...it was never a means to an income for him. & my adjectives don't make me "over the top" ...i have pizazz...& i make life colorful...as Joe Pegues once said...you can feel what i mean when you read my writing...descriptive is always more interesting! :)- Nesta
